Congratulations to Barbara Davenport and Packleader Farm for running a great week of herding at Packleader July 9-17. Thanks also to the many volunteers and folks that pitched in to make it all work.
We started off with the Ranch Large Flock trial, put on by Barbara Davenport and Elsie Rhodes. Barbara writes, “I think we had a lovely, small, laidback trial. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves. We had some very lovely runs in all the classes with lots of titles earned. We want to congratulate Breanna Castell and her very nice dog, Earl (.45 Big Earl), on their High in Trial win on both days. Reserve High in Trial both days went to Jen Rice and her sweet Kitt dog (HHF Kitt). Due to their consistency and smoothness both days, Breanna and Earl were our High Combined winners for the weekend.” Click here for the marked catalog for RLF.
Packleader Farm’s Kelpie Roundup included several days of training, a barbecue, and a great three days of trialing. Many awards, belt buckles, and so forth! High Combined Kelpie went to Cochran’s Black Kinta (Kinta), owned and handled by Jani Zigray-Cochran. High Combined Other Breed was won by Bobby Blue, owned and handled by Kent Bradley. Steve Weigley won the Rick Pinney Memorial Award, voted on by competitors, stock handlers and judges. Congratulations all!
