St. Paddy’s Day Trial

Kelly Gann and Imp Sal (Sal) putting the sheep through the trailer obstacle in HRD Level III

The St. Paddy’s Day AHBA trial was a rousing success, with three beautiful venues, three terrific judges, and lots of ranch dog fun! Thanks to Sue MacDonald (Ewesful Acres), Elsie Rhodes (Frogs Breath Farm) and Barbara Davenport (Packleader Farm) for hosting, and to the weather gods for supplying the amazing 70 degree and sunny weather. And, of course, to all the folks who volunteered to scribe, stock handle, run scores, and generally pitch in throughout the weekend. Special thanks to Donna Berotti for keeping everyone fed in style.

High Combined Dog was Bobby Blue, with Kent Bradley at the wheel. The special Crook’s Crook Award for the best performance for a started dog across all three days, sponsored by Kent & Darcy Bradley, went to Bijou Snapshot in Time (Leica), handled by Carol Wolfram. Individual day high in trial, reserve, and class results can be found in the marked catalog on our Events 2024 page.
